Lake Vänern is one of Sweden's finest waters for trolling for salmon and trout. The fishing is planned according to wind, water temperature, season and where the fish are located.
You do not need any previous experience. All equipment is available on board, and we go through technique and safety before the fishing begins. The trip is always private and tailored to you and your party.
We mainly fish for salmon and trout by trolling and adapt lure choice, speed and fishing depth to the conditions of the day. At the right time of year, we can also target zander.
During the day, I share my experience so that you both enjoy a great day of fishing and gain knowledge to take with you into your own fishing.

Your fishing guide – Mikael Risberg
My name is Mikael Risberg and I have been fishing Lake Vänern and Lake Vättern since 1990. Bergslagens Fiske has been working with fishing since 1985 and the business is registered for VAT and Swedish F-tax.
I passed the Swedish Master Class VIII examination on 15 April 2010. The boat is a Beneteau Antares 650 carrying all required safety equipment – VHF, distress flares, fire extinguisher and life jackets – and both boat and guests are insured.
There are 10 rods on board, rigged with the lures that work best on the day. Fish are fought on ABU Ambassadeur 7000 reels mounted on Workhorse rods, and a FishHawk reports speed and temperature down at fishing depth.
